Sergeant Steve Smock is a 20 year veteran of the Long Beach Police Department. The last 7 years he has been assigned to the Port Police Division, responsible for securing the Port of Long Beach. 6 years ago, Sgt. Smock helped create the Long Beach Police Dive Team where he is still assigned as a dive supervisor. Sgt. Smock has over-seen the the dive team's humble beginning in training, equipment and personnel to what is now a well rounded and highly technical dive team serving the Port of Long Beach and City of Long Beach waterways.
Sergeant Smock also serves as the supervisor for the Port Police Division's Rad/Nuc Detection Team. He hold a bachelors degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
